The Society was established to stimulate public interest
in the area and to promote high standards of planning,
to preserve and protect features of historic or public
interest.
We have representatives who regularly attend the Parish
Council Meetings who report back to Members any items
that may be of interest in this respect.
At the meetings between September to May we have a variety
of speakers, covering a number of interesting subjects.
During the year there are outings to places of interest,
a Summer Barbecue and a Christmas Social.
Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month
at the Memorial Hall, Mattishall at 7.30p.m. where a
warm welcome awaits. Refreshments are served after the
speaker and there is also a raffle for vouchers for
use in the Village shops. All are welcome. Annual Subscription
is £3 per person.
